This year, starting April 12, 2011 I will be posting one picture a day for 365 days as a fun way to share my life with you.

Day 7 - My Brother & His Project

Wow. It's already been a whole week since I started blogging. Thanks to you all who are reading this and who have commented on my blog! I truly appreciate it. (Of course it helps when my mom promotes it).
This is my older brother Noah. Well his hands to be exact. He's a super cool guy who plays baseball like a pro (and coaches me), and bosses me around all the time...but I still love him! Right now he's working on a school project for World History; it's a drawing of Africa and he drew it himself! Overall, he's a pretty awesome brother to have, and I'm grateful for him:)

Day 6 - "Old School"

I think in a world where technology is SO huge, we all need to find time to play it "old-school" and do things that let us appreciate each other. No, sitting in front of a TV watching a sports game "appreciating" the players does not count! Playing a game with your family, parents reading a book out loud to their kids, making a craft together, playing outside. All these things are opportunities to have fun with family and remember why you are so blessed to have them. Forget electronics and spend time looking at real people, not at a screen.

This is my little sister Tahlia. She wanted to play Chutes and Ladders with my dad (I think he lost tragically). Instead of watching a movie tonight, she played a game. That's so cool. (It would have been cooler if she had decided not to watch a movie on her own...not by having my mom tell her she couldn't, but that's not the point. The point is she chose to play a board game. So I encourage you all to take some time with your family and play it "Old School" for a change.

Day 5 - Gluten Free Pizza

You obviously wouldn't know this (unless you know me or my family personally) because I haven't said anything about this in my blog before, but my family is gluten free. Not because we're allergic to it but because we wanted to try it out to see what kind of changes it may bring to our health. It has been said by many doctors that it is good for you and your body, which has proved true. I sleep better and feel better all the time.

This is a gluten free pizza my mom made! She's amazing. We don't just sit around wondering what to eat everyday because my awesome mom always makes dinner. She finds gluten free recipes all the time. This pizza was great. It had a soft crust that tasted like real pizza. If you want the recipe go to my mom's blog: www.studiojewel.blogspot.com I don't know when she'll post it, but expect it soon!

Day 4 - New (Second) Cousin

On Wednesday, April 13, 2011, my cousin gave birth to a baby girl. Her name is Helena and she is such a beautiful baby! We went to see her today in the hospital. I got to hold her and take lots of pictures...but this is my favorite one!
I realized how much of a miracle babies are today. The fact that they grow INSIDE another person is amazing, and then when they are born and actually breathe on their own...it's truly a miracle. It's even more amazing that God thought up the babies and their births. Babies are truly living, breathing, miracles!

Day 3 - My Guitar

Ok, so this is my guitar. Some dude gave it to my dad (my dad plays piano...NOT guitar) and my dad initially gave it to my older brother. Noah (my brother) didn't touch it. Ever. So it finally was given to me!!! I tried to teach myself, but it was kind of hard, so I finally found a friend to teach me....until he got to busy to teach me anymore:(  So now I'm back to teaching myself from YouTube videos and online tutorials. HA!

Day 2 - Weird Signs

Today, while I was driving home (well, I wasn't actually driving. My dad was...but that's not important) I saw these signs on the back of a semi truck, and I thought it was funny. Of course it might not be funny to YOU, but to me, well, I thought it was hilarious.
Ok, so could the company not make up their minds? What is it? Is it flammable or non-flammable??? I just thought it was funny and I wanted to share it with you! (For real, it probably just means that there is both types of gas on this truck, but still, it was funny to me:)

Day 1 - Tango

Ok, so obviously I didn't take this picture, but I wanted my first post to be about me...not because I'm obsessed with myself, 'cuz I'm not (you'll have to take my word for it!), but because I wanted to share a little about who I am with you! So here goes:
This is me and Tango. I've had the honor of knowing him for....wow...four years already! He's not officially my horse but I love him as if he were and wish with all my heart that he was! Tango is a gorgeous bay Quarter Horse and has the prettiest blue eyes on the planet! He's SO much fun and has the cutest personality a horse can have...and that's saying something!

So technically, this post isn't about me but about what I love...but also technically, what I love is me! So that's it. I hope I didn't totally mess up my first blog post;)
